THE SEMINAR ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF INBOUND TOURISM

THE SEMINAR ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF INBOUND TOURISM WAS HELD IN NOVOSIBIRSK

A seminar on the development of inbound tourism from the People’s Republic of China was held in the small hall of the Novosibirsk Region Government. The seminar was organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Novosibirsk region.

The participants of the seminar had discussed strengthening of Novosibirsk Region and China tourist relations. During the seminar, the Vice-Chairman of the Novosibirsk Region Government — the minister of region economic development --- Olga Molchanova told about the development of the tourist industry in the region, about the events that was organized by the Novosibirsk region Ministry of Economic Development for attracting foreign and Russian tourists in the region and promotion the Novosibirsk region as comfortable tourist place.

Moreover, the seminar joined Executive Director of the Non-commercial partnership Association of Tourism International Integration “World Without Borders” Svetlana Pyatikhatka and the head of “China Friendly” project Anna Sibirkina. Participants had presented reports with analysis and prospects of the Russian Federation inbound tourism market development and the peculiarities of the reception of Chinese tourists.

Anna Sibirkina stressed that “China Friendly” project is designed to create a comfortable environment for Chinese tourists abroad and promote the Russian tourist product on the international market.

In 2015, according to the Russian Tourist Association “World Without Borders” Novosibirsk is named one of the most popular Russian cities after Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Irkutsk region for Chinese tourists. In 2015, under visa-free tourist group agreement the Novosibirsk region had visited 5464 Chinese tourists, in 2014 — 1951 tourists.
